Drafting the CSPs/NIPs PDF Print E-mail

Drafting of a country strategy paper begins after the process of consultations. This is a complex process which begins with the writing of a first draft CSP. by the the desk officers in Brussels. Once completed, the first draft is assessed by the Commission's interservice Quality Support Group and passed on to the RELEX Director-Generals for approval. Once the document has been approved by the Director-Generals, it is finalised in the field by the Commission, the Government and the Member States and sent to the Member States Committee for discussion. If approved, the document is then sent back to the RELEX Director-Generals for formal approval. Once the formal approval has been secured, the document is ready for publication.
